Inscription back: Post Card, This picture shows the wing added to Mount Vernon after 1776. A notable feature shown here is the Palladian window, representing a Rennaisance style of architecture greatly in favor at that period. From a Water Color by Frederic Dalrymple. Mount Vernon is owned and maintained by the Mount Vernon Ladies Association of the Union, founded 1853 for the preservation of the home and tomb of Washington.
